Remembering Georgiy Gongadze

Journalist Georgiy Gongadze's only partially solved murder continues to be a dark chapter in Ukrainian history that the nation will not overcome until justice is served. However, of course, the passing of time -- 21 years ago on Sept. 16, 2020 -- means that top suspects, including ex-President Leonid Kuchma and his top aides, will likely never face charges. Sergii Leshchenko's column highlights the trashing of President Volodymyr Zelensky's deoligarchization drive at the oligarch-sponsored Yalta European Strategy summit, whose backer is none other than Kuchma's son-in-law, Victor Pinchuk. World in Ukraine: Pakistan is done in partnership with the ISTIL Group owned by former Kyiv Post publisher Mohammad Zahoor. Editorials: Misplaced aggression & Is Zelensky finished? Two Kyiv Post webinars in one week: One on the state's management of companies in the energy sector. The other was on NATO-Ukraine relations. Music lovers: Read about Latexfauna, the sexy indie pop band with big heart and soaring popularity.
