You're reading: Four people trying to bribe voters detained ‘red handed’ in Ukrainian regions

Ukrainian police exposed the bribery of voters committed by four people, catching them 'red handed' with large sums of money and electoral lists on them in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“As for bribery, we have four cases in which people were detained with money [on them]. [It took place] at Vyshneve in the Kyiv region and in Dnipropetrovsk, two individuals committing bribery were detained,” Volodymyr Hryniak, chief of the public security department at the Ukrainian interior ministry, told a briefing conference in Kyiv on Oct. 26.

Interior Ministry communications department director Artem Shevchenko told the reporters that four cases were exposed when people were “caught in the act with [electoral] rolls and large sums in cash.”
