“Continue to hope Ukrainians in occupied territories, IDPs, refugees may soon choose own leaders, consistent with Ukrainian law, OSCE standards, and Minsk agreements,” the ambassador wrote on Twitter on Dec. 1.
As regards the Nov. 29 elections in Mariupol, Pyatt tweeted: “U.S. welcomes successful conduct of local elections in Mariupol & congratulates city’s residents for exercising their right to vote.”
