You're reading: Artyomsol restores work of Volodarsky salt mine, Hr 30 millions invested in overhauls

State enterprise Artyomsol (Donetsk region) has completed the reconstruction of the Volodarsky salt producing mine and on Feb. 5 it resumed work.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, over Hr 30 million was invested in the overhaul of the mine, its technical updating and launch.

“The work was carried out efficiently, in compliance with the technological and time requirements. We reconstructed the building… ensured the safety of people and the proper level of technology. The estimated cost of work exceeds Hr 30 million,” reads the press release citing Agricultural Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko.

The minister noted that the commissioning of the mine would employ 590 people, who at the time of production suspension at this site were temporarily employed at other mines. He stressed that Ukrainian salt meets the highest quality standards and is in demand in the world market.

The Volodarsky mine is the fifth operating salt producing mine of Artyomsol.

Artyomsol is the largest enterprise for production and sale of salt (NaCl) in the territory of Central and Eastern Europe.
