Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov says the task of the government is to double GDP before 2021.
He gave his position during a political talk show on the Inter television channel on Friday evening.
"I believe it is a realistic task for us to at least double our gross domestic product within ten years," said the prime minister.
He said achieving this goal requires less populism and hard work on reforming the country.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Fitch international rating agency expects the nominal GDP of Ukraine to be USD 140.9 billion in 2010 and USD 164.9 billion in 2011.
The Cabinet of Ministers expects the Ukrainian gross domestic product will grow by 4.5% in 2011. Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers expects the nominal GDP to make up UAH 1,253 billion in 2011.
