The Bogdan Corporation's bus and trolleybus output in 2009 was 624 buses and trolleybuses, which was 16.6% of figure for 2008 (3,763).

The corporation’s press secretary, Serhiy Krasulia, told the press onJan. 14that in December the corporation produced 90 buses and trolleybuses, which is one less than in November and 34% down on December 2008 (136).

As reported, despite the plunge on the bus and trolleybus market in Ukraine, last year the corporation started producing five new types of buses and trolleybuses.

"After the economic recovery, [production of new models] will allow us to boost sales to pre-crisis levels, as well as start exporting products," Krasulia said.

Bogdan Corporation was established in February 2005 with the aim of implementing large-scale automotive projects.

In June 2008 the corporation launched a plant in Cherkasy, which today assembles Ladas and Hyundais. A bus and trolley bus production facilities is being created in Lutsk. The corporation invested over $450 million in setting up new facilities.
