Ukraine's grain exports reached 17.3 million tonnes as of February 21 compared with 12.5 million tonnes in the same period a season earlier, the Agriculture Ministry said on Friday.
The ministry said in a report the volume included 6.13 million tonnes of wheat, 8.91 million tonnes of maize and 2.0 million tonnes of barley. It said exports had totalled 1.19 million tonnes so far in February. In January, Ukraine exported 1.909 million tonnes of grain.
Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said this week the exports were likely to total up to 1.7 million tonnes this month.
