Industrial Milk Company agroholding plans in the second half of 2013 to expand its land bank by 16,000-20,000 hectares thanks to the acquisition of an agricultural company.

“In the second half of the year we plan to acquire a company which
processes 16,000-20,000 hectares near our cluster,” IMC Director General
Alex Lissitsa said in an interview with the Investgazeta weekly
published on Monday.

He also said that the main task for this year is to achieve the best
operating results, work out all the processes and focus on efficiency.

As reported, IMC specializes in the production of grains, oilseeds
and potatoes. It is one of the largest milk producers in Ukraine.

At the end of April 2011, IMC carried out an IPO on the WSE, selling a 24 percent stake for PLN 80.73 million ($29.8 million).
