Kyivsky cardboard paper mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), a leader in Ukraine's pulp and paper industry in terms of production and sales, in January-May 2013 produced goods worth Hr 848.91 million, which is two per cent up from 2012.

According to the Ukrpapir association, the mill kept leadership in production of corrugated packaging in Ukraine: for the five months it produced 83 million square meters of these products, which is 17.1 per cent more than in the first four of last year.

Production of base paper (for sanitary products) increased by 3.2 per cent, to 31,820 tonnes, while production of toilet paper grew by 5.6 per cent, to 161.74 million rolls.

In addition, in January-May the mill increased production of cardboard – it was up by 5.4 per cent, to 63,180 tonnes, it increased production of commodity cardboard by 25.1 per cent, to 46,940 tonnes and reduced output of box cardboard by 12.5 per cent, to 36,240 tonnes.

Kyivsky cardboard paper mill is one of the largest cardboard and paper producers in Europe. It mainly produces goods from wastepaper. Its capacity for processing wastepaper exceeds 850 tonnes a day. The mill exports its products to the CIS countries, and to Iran, Turkey, Hungary, and Bulgaria.

In 2012, the mill increased the value of its production by 6 per cent on 2011, to Hr 2.154 billion.
