You're reading: Lvivska Pyvovarnia increases beer Production by 29.8% to 1.6 million decaliters in April

Lvivska Pyvovarnia, one of the ten largest breweries in Ukraine, increased beer production by 371,000 decaliters or 29.78% to 1,617,000 decaliters in April, compared with April 2008.

A representative of Lvivska Pyvovarnia announced this to Ukrainian News.

Compared with March, Lvivska Pyvovarnia’s beer output in April increased by 442,000 decaliters or 37.62%.

In
the period of January-April 2009, Lvivska Pyvovarnia increased beer
production by 1.403 million decaliters or 43.91% to 4.598 million
decaliters compared with the period of January-April 2008.

As
Ukrainian News earlier reported, Lvivska Pyvovarnia increased beer
production by 453,000 decaliters or 62.7% to 1,175,000 decaliters in
March, compared with March 2008.

The
brewery increased beer production by 1.33 million decaliters or 8.98%
to 16.138 million decaliters in 2008, compared with 2007.

The
Lvivska Pyvovarnia brewery is part of the Carlsberg Group Ukraine
(previously Baltic Beverages Holding Ukraine), which also includes the
Slavutych beer and nonalcoholic beverage plant (Zaporizhia) and the
Slavutych brewery (Kyiv).

Experts estimate the annual size of the Ukrainian beer market at 145-150 million decaliters.
