You're reading: Nestle leases 3,600 square meters in Lviv business center

The Nestle Business Service Company has leased 3,616 square meters of space in the second stage of the Dominant Plaza business center at 14, Uhorska Street in Lviv, reads a press release of DTZ Company, which was a consultant in the deal.

According to the report, a united business service center of Nestle will be located in the leased space, which will be the first center in Central and Eastern Europe that will unite Nestle’s operations in the finance and HR sphere in one office.

DTZ said that the leasing agreement foresees the expansion of the leased space if the company wants to expand, including the chance to lease the whole building.

The consulting company said that the deal is the largest in the office segment in Lviv in the past 12 months with the participation of a large international leaser.

Earlier Nestle S.A. reported that it plans to open a management and service center in Lviv for Central and Eastern Europe. It was expected that CHF 25 million would be invested in the center, which will have 350 employees within three years.

Nestle in Ukraine consists of Lviv-based CJSC Svitoch confectionery factory, Nestle Ukraine Ltd., OJSC Volynholding (the Torchyn brand), and Technocom Ltd. (the Mivina trademark).

Nestle’s business in Ukraine encompasses coffee and beverages, confectionery goods, cookery (sauces, herbs, spices, and soups), food for children and special nutrition, quick-prep breakfasts, pet food, and ice cream. The company’s sales in Ukraine in 2009 were Hr 3.122 billion.

Nestle, headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, was founded in 1866. Currently the company is the world’s leading food company. The company owns over 500 factories and enterprises in 86 countries.

DTZ was set up in Kyiv in 1994. It is a representative office of international company DTZ, which offers real estate services and has 140 offices 42 countries.

Kyiv’s DTZ company provides consulting services, including agent commercial and housing reap estate services, brokerage and representing of the interests of leasers, services on the acquisition of land plots, in the hotel sector, assesses property under international and Ukrainian standards, carries out studies, professional management and exploitation of buildings, general consultations, development and investment consultations.

DTZ Holdings plc, the parent company, has been listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) since 1987.
