Alexander Ulanov was appointed partner and managing director of the Boston Consulting Group’s Kyiv office.

Alexander Ulanov joined the BCG New York office in 1999 as a consultant and until 2004 worked on a variety of projects in the U.S., Latin America and Europe.

In 2004 he left the company to start a private equity fund in Latin America focused on transportation and logistics. In 2006 Alexander resumed his career at BCG and in 2008 became a member of the BCG leadership team in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the director of BCG Kyiv.

His key areas of expertise include operations, crisis management and turnarounds as well as organization redesign. While in the U.S., Ulanov also led numerous projects in media marketing strategy.

Ulanov holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. He carried out graduate work and served on the faculty at Yale University.
