Rinat Starkov was appointed chief executive officer of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, the largest of Ukraine's steel mills and a part of ArcelorMittal, one of the world’s leading steel companies.
In his new role, Starkov plans to restore the company’s profitability. He will focus on increasing production volume and quality, ensuring a sustainable supply of raw materials and implementing the modernization.
Starkov has a strong track record of success in managing transformations and implementing successful modernization programs at large industrial companies.
His previous roles include member of the management board at Mondi Business Papers responsible for the Commonwealth of Independent States, and managing director of Mondi Syktyvkar.
Starkov graduated from the Moscow Institute of International Relations with a degree in international economics and also holds a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University in the U.S.
