Kyiv, Dec. 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has said that this year's inflation in Ukraine will total 22-25 percent.
He said at a meeting with regional governors in Kyiv on Tuesday that November’s inflation was 1.5 percentand a similar figure is expected in December.
Yuschenko said that “Hr 16 billion of the budget deficit remains uncovered 15 days before the end of this year.”
He said that taking into account the deficit of the Pension Fund, the country’s consolidated deficit isHr 29.4 billion.
Yuschenko said that the “government has yet to find realistic resources to cover the deficit.”
