You're reading: Repriza

Best Confectionary

If Audrey Hepburn had her breakfast at Tiffany’s, the Kyiv Post’s daring and darling readers choose Repriza cafe-patisserie as the top spot to start their day. Chocolate, marzipan and truffle pearls keep many transfixed at the brightly lit showcases.

Repriza has been sweetening our readers for two years now. We counted over 40 confections in a menu nicely photographed to ease your choice. A tempting array of Belgian truffles, royal Danishes and exotic cakes, it is regularly enriched with more goodies. We have seen people queue for fresh crusty baguettes and healthy brands of bread still piping hot out of the oven.

Repriza has four cafes in the center of Kyiv and one in the residential Obolon district. They pride themselves for European style desserts and elegant interiors. Chestnut colored walls, golden-lit showcases, cozy sofas and large mirrors work well for smoothing a client, smooching a date or smelling coffee with friends.

On special occasions you can let your imagination run wild and order a cake the shape of the Black Pearl Ship from the Hollywood film “The Pirates of the Caribbean.” For your child, pastry chefs will rear a crazy squirrel from the “Ice Age” cartoon with the help of yogurt, fruit, or chocolate of your choice.

If you need more than a cake or quiche to satiate your hunger, Repriza will cope with that too, thanks to a small selection of appetizers and main courses.

The name “Repriza” comes from the French word meaning repeat, which is exactly what the Post’s readers did in choosing it the best confectionary in Kyiv for the second year in a row.
