KYIV, Sept 25 – Ukraine, hit by a poor harvest in the 1999/00 season, has cut exports of almost all of its agricultural commodities, the State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
Ukraine harvested 24.4 million tons of grain and 2.75 million tons of sunseed in 1998/1999.
Official data also show Belarus, Israel and Turkey were the main Ukrainian wheat exports destinations.
Ukraine sold to these states respectively 297,623 tons, 256,740 tons and 217,169 tons of wheat.
