WASHINGTON, Apr. 13 The World Bank has added Ukraine to the group of the world’s poorest countries, the Interfax news agency reported on Friday, citing the Bloomberg agency.
Ukraine received its new status after its average per capita income hit a low of $750 per year.
A year ago the World Bank said that Ukraine can no longer be eligible for the bank’s credits at reduced interest rates.
According to Bloomberg, the Ukrainian government now stands a chance of again obtaining cheap credits from the World Bank.
