ZAZ Lanos in 2010 became the absolute leader in new car sales in Ukraine with 9,460 cars sold, according to the results of the Autorating 2010 national rating.
According to the rating, the Chevrolet Aveo was the leader in small-class car sales (5,079 cars), the Renault Logan among C-class cars (4,978), the Volkswagen Passat among D-class cars (1,229), and the Toyota Camry among E-class cars (1,843).
Mercedes-Benz S-Class was the leader in de luxe class cars (419), Hyundai Tucson among crossovers (2,304), SsangYong Kyron among off-road vehicles (1,548), Nissan Note among minivans (816), Mitsubishi L200 among pickups (542), ZAZ 11055 among passenger cars (1,525), and Kia Cerato Koup among coupe and cabriolet cars (253).
In addition, the results of the Car 2011 national competition were announced on Tuesday. The winner of the competition is selected both by the public and journalists. New car models that debuted from November 20, 2009 until November 20, 2010 on the domestic market and did not participate in previous competitions were eligible to take part.
Some 88 models participated in the competition (56 models in 2009). The winner was the Hyundai Sonata.
