German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel has telephoned Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service said on Oct. 12.
‘The leaders discussed preparations for the negotiations to be held on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit in Milan on Oct. 16-17,’ the report said.
As reported earlier, Putin will attend the ASEM summit in Milan on Oct. 16-17. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said on Oct. 9 ‘Normandy format’ negotiations regarding Ukraine might be held on the ASEM summit sidelines.
