Odesa, June 4 (Interfax) - Russia has accused Georgia of conducting special operations on the territory of Abkhazia.

"The Georgian Interior Ministry’s and the Georgian special services zonder-commands are beginning to get into Abkhazia, are kidnapping people and conducting special operations," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin told Interfax on Saturday.

"In view of these facts, it is just absurd to talk about trust measures and transparency," he said.

At the same time, the Russian diplomat said he is hoping that Georgia will change its behavior.

"I am hoping our Georgian partners will realize the counter-productivity and danger of such statements, measures, and, most importantly, the fuelling of some public psychosis in their country and in the region, sooner or later," Karasin said.
