BEIJING - Russian and Chinese defense ministers Sergei Shoigu and Chang Wanquan have reached an agreement on stronger cooperation between Russian and Chinese military representatives at various international forums, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said on Nov. 17.

“We have amassed certain experience in this regard,” he said after Shoigu’s talks with Chang.

“But we need to expand such cooperation more than ever,” Antonov said, making special mention of the Shangri-La Dialogue annual conference in Singapore.

“We also spoke about prospects of using the Geneva conference on disarmament for explaining what Russia’s and China’s peaceful approaches are like, where we are moving, what we want and what we need to do together in order to maintain peace,” Antonov said.
