Moscow – Serbia's Ambassador to Moscow Slavenko Terzic has ruled out any possibility of his country joining the European Union's sanctions against Russia.

“Our prime minister has made it clear that there will be no sanctions against the Russian Federation. That is our clear and precise answer to this question,” Terzic said at a press conference in Moscow.

The Ukrainian crisis should not be used as an instrument to put pressure on Russia, the ambassador said.

“It is necessary to stop pursuing the policy of using Ukraine against Russia,” he said.

“Only a treaty, only dialogue and only joint discussions on this issue [the Ukrainian crisis] will help to find a rational solution to it. It meets the interests of Russia, the European Union and Ukraine itself,” Terzic said.
