A statement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterating support for Ukraine in the issue of Crimea is a matter of protocol, but it could still complicate Ankara-Moscow relations, that's according to First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Franz Klintsevich, RIA Novosti reports.
“We got another confirmation: our ‘friendship’ with Turkey has certain limits and it’s rather conditional. Of course, Erdogan is unlikely to go further than his protocol statement about supporting Ukraine,” said Klintsevich.
