The land border between Russia and Norway is about 120 miles long, with the entire border in the Arctic Circle. While it was once had some military presence - it was one of only two land borders between NATO and the Soviet Union - it is also a generally peaceful place. The border has been unchanged for years, and Norway has never actually gone to war against Russia, unlike other neighbors.
