Russia will gladly take back the money it paid for French Mistral-class warships whose handover has been delayed by concerns over Moscow's role in the Ukraine crisis, a deputy defence minister said Saturday.

The Mistral-class assault warship Vladivostok, the first of two mammoth Mistral helicopter carriers, that was supposed to be delivered to Russia on Nov. 15, 2014, is docked on November 21 at the entrance of the western French port of Saint-Nazaire.
