Consultations between the leaders of the 'Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics', Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, the OSCE mission, and Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Medvedchuk, who represent Kyiv, began in Donetsk on June 26, an Interfax correspondent has reported.

The main issues addressed in the consultations are ceasefire
guarantees, the development of an algorithm governing ceasefires by both
sides, and the work of international monitoring groups monitoring the
observance of the ceasefire regime, an Interfax correspondent has
reported.

Oleh Tsariov, chairman of the Council of the People’s Republics (the
Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics) and co-chairman of the People’s
Front of Novorossia, is not taking part in the consultations. In the
meantime, the OSCE delegation has been increased by one person.
