You're reading: EU expects implementation of peace plan to begin by June 30

 Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said the EU expects some conditions of the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine to begin to be fulfilled by June 30.

“The EU expects the first steps to be made by Monday, June 30,” Poroshenko told a press conference in Brussels on Friday.

Poroshenko said he is talking about reaching an agreement with help
from the OSCE on effective monitoring on the border, steps aimed at
freeing hostages, including OSCE monitors, and the implementation of the
Ukrainian president’s peace plan.
