You're reading: Klimkin says Ukraine, Poland interested in invigoration of multilateral regional cooperation

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin in Warsaw met with Special Envoy of the President of Poland Krzysztof Szczerski and discussed a range of bilateral interstate relations, the press service of Ukraine's foreign ministry has said.

“The parties paid the main attention to the issue of the further development of a political dialogue between Ukraine and Poland at the highest level, as well as the definition of priority tasks on the agenda of bilateral relations,” reads a statement.

Following the meeting, Poland confirmed the unchanged position on the continuation of European Union sanctions against Russia until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. A special focus was placed on the importance of strengthening the European Union solidarity in the issue of energy security.

Szczerski assured the successful European integration of Ukraine is strategically important for Poland.
