Ukraine has spent over 5 billion dollar on the organization of Euro 2012, and only 1 billion dollar has been returned, the Vice Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov said in his interview to the Italian edition "Il Sole 24 Ore", reads ForUm.com report.
He noted that near 1.8 million tourists visited the European Championship according to preliminary calculations.
“Taking into account that one person spent an average of 400 dollars plus other miscellaneous income during his stay in Ukraine, currently we can say that the event has returned the costs in the amount of one billion dollar,” Kolesnikov said.
