The tournament appears to have been a roaring success in the Ukrainian capital with tens of thousands of football fans and music mad locals flocking to the fan zone to watch a specially arranged Elton John and Queen concert last night.
The fan zone in Kyiv is a long and meandering affair which takes in the whole of the main street and to see it packed to bursting with people while others stranded outside struggled to find any kind of vantage point, was an impressive sight in itself, reads Sport360 report.
Whatever you think of the acts on show it served as a positive advert for UEFA and FIFA’s attempts to take football to less fashionable countries.
