A good alternative to going to a football game is watching it at a sports bar. Large TV screens, variety of beer brands and most importantly the atmosphere can all be found in sports bars.

Kyiv has a number of sports bars, including:

Arena Sport Zone located in downtown Kyiv, in Arena entertainment area. You can meet famous sportsmen here as it’s considered upscale.

O’Boxers sport pub is a new place just off Maidan Nezalezhnosti. The bar broadcasts various kinds of sport matches including football, boxing, car racing, etc.

Golden Gate has long been popular with expats and is considered “the authentic Irish pub”in Kyiv. Besides showing satellite sporting events it also offers billiard and darts.

O’Briens Irish Pub has nearly 20 types of beer, including real Irish beer. Large meals for a fair price are served by English-speaking staff.

Irish Pub O’Connor’s is located in one of Kyiv’s oldest districts – Podil. One large screen, nine LCD panels and various brands of beer are there to ensure you have a good time watching a football game.

Arizona BBQ serves American-style food, including dishes cooked on the grill. There are two halls for smoking and non-smoking visitors with TV screens to broadcast sport events.

The Petrovich Club has preserved an authentic Soviet style from its design to the menu. Although the place does not specialize on broadcasting sport events, Euro 2012 football games will be shown on three screens.
