Top Swedish police officials and Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Stefan Gullgren will attend the match between Ukraine and Sweden in Kyiv on Monday.

The Swedish royal family will not attend the match, Interfax-Ukraine learned from the Swedish Embassy.

According to the embassy, Swedish fans are getting ready for the match.

"They are in a good mood and they are satisfied with everything," a Swedish diplomat said.

He added that no incidents occurred in "the Swedish camp" on Trukhaniv Island due to the heavy rain in Kyiv on Sunday.

Ukraine will play its first match with Sweden at the Olympiysky National Sports Complex in Kyiv on Monday, June 11. A significant influx of supporters is expected in the official fan zone of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship on the Independence Square. In connection with this, security measures will be intensified in the fan zone.

The press service of Kyiv City State Administration noted that highly inflammable, bulky, piercing and cutting items, alcoholic drinks, weapons, professional photo and video cameras, broadcasting equipment (exceptions made for accredited media representatives) must not be brought to the fan zone.

The security headquarters of Kyiv fan zone informed that a fast and effective security system has been organized on Khreschatyk Street since the day of the fan zone’s opening. There is a video surveillance system, all entries to the fan zone are guarded by special security teams, and regular patrols are carried out inside and outside the fan zone.
