Seventeen protesters were killed by employees of the Berkut special police force on Instytutska Street in Kyiv, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has said.
“Seventeen people were killed … This force opened fire on
protesters, including aimed fire,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on
Thursday.
At the same time, he said, eight people were killed from the same machine gun.
He noted that three suspects, including the commander of a special
