Financial Times: ‘Strong links’ between opposition politicians leading anti-government protest

This picture taken on January 29, 2013, shows Tetyana Chornovol (R), a popular Ukrainian journalist and opposition activist, who together with other opposition activists stormed Kiev's city hall to prevent illegitimate Kiev Council sessions. Prominent Ukrainian journalist Tetyana Chornovol, who was brutally beaten this week, said on December 27, 2013, that she had been attacked as revenge following her investigative work on President Viktor Yanukovych and other top officials. In an interview from her hospital bed to the pro-opposition television Channel 5, she said that the attack \"had not been by accident\", after her investigation of the luxury residences of Ukraine's political elite.
