The Atlantic: The wanted man behind Kyiv’s protests-on-wheels
A TV grab made on January 31, 2014 and taken from a same day broadcast of Ukrainian Channel 5 television shows Ukrainian opposition activist Dmytro Bulatov lying down while receiving medical attention in Kiev. Bulatov, who went missing last week, was found severely beaten with multiple knife wounds, after apparently being tortured for days, Ukrainian television reported on January 31. The 35-year-old activist from the Avtomaidan group that organised protests against President Viktor Yanukovych was found in a village outside Kiev over a week after his wife reported him missing. Speaking with Channel 5 television, Bulatov said he was held captive, blindfolded and tortured before his captors dumped him in a forest. AFP PHOTO / CHANNEL 5
