Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, traveled to Ukraine three time in the last five weeks. Until recently, one could only wonder what might have caused such unprecedented interest in Russia’s old neighbor from the United States in general and a high-ranking government official in particular. As we have already learned from the Edward Snowden problem, sooner or later all secrets are revealed, and people have to be held accountable for their words and actions, even if it all happened in a comfortable atmosphere, with only a small circle of people sharing the delicate information.
