Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said he hoped the next trilateral meeting on gas issues between Ukraine the European Commission and Russia would be set in the next day or two.
“I talked to [European Commission Vice President Guenther] Oettinger about this today. Today, Oct. 7, is the deadline for the sides to submit their proposals. We sent ours on Friday, Oct. 3. The European Commissioner is due to analyze all of this. I’m hoping we can agree on a date for the trilateral meeting in a day or two,” Novak said.
Novak said Russia was prepared for bilateral or trilateral talks at any moment.
