Poland's Gaz System gas transportation network operator has notified Naftogaz Ukrainy about the suspension of gas deliveries to Ukraine via Hermanowice station starting from 3 p, Kyiv time on Sept. 10 and until Sept. 12 morning, the press service of Naftogaz has reported.
“According to the operator, the suspension stems from the decline in the volume of gas deliveries from the eastern direction. Today the Polish oil and gas company PGNiG announced that since the start of the week Gazprom has not been fully complying with its requests for deliveries. For instance, the request for Monday was not fulfilled by 20 precent, for Tuesday – by 24 percent,” the report says.
Naftogaz Ukrainy is discussing the situation with Gaz System and gas supplying companies to clarify the nature of the problem. The sides are holding consultations on the schedule of restoring deliveries and the procedure of rapid response to similar risks in the future.
