You're reading: Deutsche Welle: Kyiv to host Eurovision Song Contest in 2017

The EBU and the NTU have announced that the city chosen to host the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be Kyiv. This is the second time the capital of Ukraine has been picked to host Europe's most popular family TV show.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) made the announcement on Sept. 9 amid speculation that the cities of Odesa and Dnipro might also be selected.
