Thank Jeans, the mobile operator, which is sponsoring this stunt. Spanish house star Wally Lopez will headline the bash when it finally gets to its destination. The columns start rolling at 4 p.m. from three different points in the city; the party starts at 6 p.m.

Half the country will be there, and maybe you ought to be, too: in the heart of Kyiv, celebrating Independence Day. If you can fight your way through the throngs and get to European Square by 6:30 p.m., you’ll catch music by Soul B, Irina Bilyk, Dilemma, Mad Heads, Skryabin, and Okean Elzy. At the same time on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Druga Rika, Olga Krukova, Tartak and Chai F will play. Later, the inevitable fireworks. Not recommended for claustrophobics, the crowd-shy, or those who are offended by alcohol consumption.
