Following nearly a year of rumor and speculation, the location of the 10 annual Kazantip music festival has been officially announced. The popular rave event will take place from Aug. 1-20 in the town of Popovka on the western coast of the Crimea. Local authorities have already agreed to host the event.

Ukrainian alternative rockers 4 Kings are scheduled to release their new album at an Internet cafe on Manezh Square in Moscow at the end of August. Titled “Cards, Money …,” the album was recorded by the Ukrainian record company JRC. Following the presentation, group members and JRC officials will hold a cyber press conference and chat session, allowing 4 Kings fans to ask questions online. Meanwhile at the beginning of August, 4 Kings will release the videos for the two singles “Dva Vystrela” (“Two Shots”) and “Domoy” (“Back Home”). The songs are already being played on both Russian and Ukrainian radio.

The Ukrainian record company Partia Records has signed a contract with the Russian label Cream Records, thus expanding its catalogue. Now Partia Records has exclusive representation rights in Ukraine for such Russian musicians and groups as Spirali, Reverse, IFK, Delfin, Netslov, Nike Borzov, Nozh Dlya Frau Muller and Lacmus. The partnership means the music of these and other lesser-known Russian groups will be more readily available in Ukraine.
