Paris, Milan, New York, London, Kiev? The rising presence of Ukrainian collections on the global catwalk meant that a frontrow seat at last week’s 33rd Ukrainian Fashion Week was an object of much desire. This has been a year of accolades for Ukraine’s new fashion generation and the pinnacle, perhaps, was the ultimate recognition of its bright future in the fashion world — its very own Vogue.
Fresh from unveiling their A/W 2013-14 collections at Kiev’s National Cultural-Art and Museum Complex, four established Ukrainian labels are to be showcased to the London fashion scene during the Days of Ukraine in the UK festival.
The runway show at the Saatchi Gallery is one of the hottest invitations in the capital this week.
