Russian pop singer Nikita will perform at Sun City in Hydropark on July 20 to celebrate the recreation center’s opening.
Ukrainian pop singer Natalya Mohylevska just signed a contract with local record label Nova Records. She is working on the album “Netakaya” (Different), which will be released on Sept. 15. Interestingly, the contract states that Mohylevska will record the single “Bolshe Nikogda, Ne Budet Lyubvi” (Never Again Will There Be Love) only one time in the studio before it is recorded for the album. The high-profile singer, who along with artists Taras Petrynenko and Andry Kravchuk has been active in Ukraine’s anti-piracy campaign, will perform at the upcoming Tavria Games festival on July 18.
Once vilified as “one of the most socially dangerous bands in the world,” Russian alternative band Mumiy Troll will be going on tour, hitting all the major cities in the Crimea. Starting the week of July 16, the band that first formed back in 1979 in Vladivostok, will perform in Sudak, Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Krasnoperekopsk, Kerch, Yalta and Feodosia. For the last few years Mumiy Troll has been a trendsetter in Russian rock music. The band has developed a style similar to 1970s hard rock bands Queen, Slade and Deep Purple.
