A lower level is accessible to all. On the open terrace there is tandoor, where most dishes are prepared. There you can have a snack of chicken breast with spices (Hr 115) or cold tomato soup with vodka and caviar (Hr 55.) One of their specialties is berry Mojito cocktail (Hr 65). Mykhaylovskiy Cathedral and Andriyivska Church are visible from the bar as well. If you go to the right side of the balcony and around the corner you’ll get a view of Maidan Nezalezhnosti. However, it’s best to keep in mind that while sitting on the balcony on a sunny day in the summer, you’ll be dazzled not only by panoramas of the beautiful city, but also by the bright sunlight that reflects from the mirror-glass windows. In the evening the terrace turns into a real paradise. And if you wish to impress your lady, this is a great place to take her to dine on a summer night.

Vozdvyzhenskiy Hotel complex is placed on the oldest, and one of the most original and beautiful streets in Kyiv, Andriyvsky Uzviz. Its restaurant called Terrace fully lives up to its name, since it has several summer terraces. One of them faces the courtyard, with a garden in it, two others look onto beautiful green slopes, adjoining the hotel. Every terrace has its own atmosphere, but the most exciting view opens from the rooftop terrace on the fifth floor of the hotel.

From there you can enjoy a beautiful view of the slopes and the Dnipro river, and Podil and Obolon districts. It is also very close to the Sophia Cathedral, the National Philarmonic Hall and the Historical Museum of Ukraine.

During the summer time on the terrace you will find a cafe, offering light meals and snacks, fragrant tea and coffee. The pleasant atmosphere of the bar is filled with guests relaxing at the end of a busy day and enjoying drinks. The main idea of the cuisine is to present the freshest Ukrainian products through the art of European gastronomy. On the restaurant menu there are European and Ukrainian dishes, vegetarian meals, and exquisite desserts. What’s more, their summer terrace has the first French rotisserie-grill Molteni in Kyiv. Try their beef steak “rib-eye” with cedar and nutmeg sauce (Hr 180) or tender lamb fillet with basil and dried tomatos (Hr 150). Among their selection of summer desserts are: cheesecake with berries sauce-fresh (Hr 55) and hot apple tarte with vanilla ice-cream (Hr 50.) In addition there is a children’s menu for little gourmets. From their summer terrace you may overlook the Andriyvsky hills, and their garden obviously suits for a romantic dinner and cozy rest. The terrace is protected from the sun and bad weather by a roof.

The Bar on the Roof, located on the Premier Palace Hotel’s roof, admits guests as long as the weather is warm. From this cozy perch, you can see the unique beauty of our green ancient city. The main design concept of the Bar on the Roof is an all-round vision of landscape with one of the most advantageous points of the city center. To get to the Bar on the Roof, take any of the central elevators to the eighth floor, and then follow the winding stairs. The Bar occupies all of the Premier Palace hotel’s roof that looks onto Pushkinska street. Therefore – there are no glass and window frames.

The open terrace in designed in a classical style, with lots of greenery, a real fountain, and the original house cuisine. The restaurant offers popular Mediterranean dishes blended with Japanese cuisine. Therefore the menu is all about various fish and seafood dishes with wasabi and soy sauce, dressed properly according to Japanese culinary aesthetics. The average price for a dinner is Hr 250.

But even if you don’t feel like a serious meal, at least come up for a cup of coffee (Hr 20 to Hr 35) there. In spite of the height, there is no gusty wind on the rooftop – refined garret structures prevent it from blowing too hard. During the daytime in summer it might be quite hot on the roof, for that reason the Bar on the Roof opens from 4 p.m. and is open until the last customer leaves.

And you can be sure that in the evenings, when city lights turn on – the atmosphere there is simply fantastic. If you begin to feel the chill of the night, you’ll be given a plaid blanket to keep you warm. It’s one of the most romantic places in Kyiv.
