Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen at a meeting in Paris agreed to continue their cooperation in the energy sector.
Poroshenko thanked Rasmussen for Denmark’s consistent support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Ukrainian president’s press service reported.
The Ukrainian president informed the Danish prime minister about the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the non-compliance with the ceasefire regime by militants and Ukraine’s progress in the implementation of democratic reforms.
“The parties warned the international community against underestimation of the threat to the international security and stability caused by Russian aggression against sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The interlocutors noted that the sanctions against Russia should be continued until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements,” the statement reads.
During the meeting, Poroshenko also invited Rasmussen to visit Ukraine.
