Decentralization of power in Ukraine, as foreseen by the introduced bill of amendments to the Constitution, doesn't cover defense, national security, foreign policy, control over adherence to constitutional rights and the freedoms of citizens, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“There’s no place for decentralization in issues such as defense, national security, foreign policy, control over adherence to Constitutional rights and the freedom of citizens,” Poroshenko said in parliament on July 16.
