Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and former Danish prime minister and NATO's ex-secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen have met in Kyiv to discuss prospects for Kyiv's cooperation with the alliance.

“We highly value the level of trust achieved in the Ukraine-NATO relationship and hope to further deepen our partnership,” Poroshenko was quoted by his press office as saying at the meeting.

He stressed the need for Kyiv’s partners to mobilize their efforts to speed up the release of the Ukrainians held in Russia, including Oleh Sentsov and Nadia Savchenko.
