You're reading: Poroshenko meets with G7 ambassadors

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the leaders of diplomatic missions of G7 states have discussed how election process and reforms are running in Ukraine.

In a course of the meeting, Poroshenko reiterated his principal position over the necessity to ensure free and fair elections, the president’s press service reported on Oct. 23.

The parties also discussed the implementation of the Minsk agreements, as well as a course of the reforms in Ukraine, namely constitutional, judicial and anti-corruption reforms.

“Poroshenko thanked the ambassadors, their governments and people for a powerful support and solidarity with Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity. Herewith the president underlined the importance of preserving unity and coordinated position of the entire pro-Ukrainian global coalition,” reads the report.
