Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has pointed out the high level of cooperation with the U.S., but reiterates Kyiv's interest in expanding the spheres of bilateral cooperation.

“The level of our cooperation is very high. But is it sufficient? No. We are interested in expanding our cooperation,” the president said after meeting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in Kyiv on Oct. 26.

The president also spoke about Ukrainian-U.S. military-technical cooperation.

“We have gone a long way this year. From a full absence of cooperation and trust to having a joint program to train servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, and border guards by instructors from the UK, the U.S. and other countries of the EU. U.S. advisers are now present on virtually every track of the reforms,” Poroshenko said.

He also thanked the U.S. represented by U.S. President Barack Obama, his administration, government and the people for the political support.
