You're reading: Dutch Safety Board waiting for comments on final draft report on MH17 disaster investigation

BRUSSELS - The Dutch Safety Board has submitted a final report on the course of the investigation into the cause of the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 disaster in Donbas to the states involved in the investigation, including Russia, the Dutch Safety Board reported on its website.

“The draft final reports on the investigation into the crash and the investigation pertaining to flight routes were made available to the accredited representatives of the participating states on Tuesday, June 2. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, they have sixty days to submit comments on the reports,” reads the report.

A preliminary report containing its first findings into the MH17 disaster was published on Sept. 9, 2014. It contained initial data from the investigation into the cause of the crash based on sources that were available to the Dutch Safety Board.

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, with the flight number MH17 was downed in eastern Ukraine while flying from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board were killed.
